Mike Nolan, Vice President of Global Infonet just returned with other Jacksonville Business Leaders from the JAX Chamber’s 32nd annual Leadership Trip to Cincinnati. With the theme “Making Things Happen,” the trip focused on learning how Cincinnati’s top area leaders addressed Downtown revitalization, economic development, public-private partnerships, education reform and sports and entertainment marketing.
More than 125 trip attendees met with Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber leaders, a city manager and the mayor, economic development executives and area business leaders.
Mike Nolan says, “My “rookie” experience on the 2012 JAX Chamber Leadership Trip to Cincinnati exceeded expectations. I suspected it would be like networking on steroids, what I encountered was a transformative event that opened my eyes to many facets of the critical success factors that contribute to a thriving community. The Host Leaders in Cincinnati opened their collective kimono and shared many challenges and solutions to obstacles that we also face in Jacksonville. It was a wonderful opportunity to create and build relationships with 120 or so other individuals that share a passion and commitment for helping Jacksonville be a better place to live and work. I’m grateful for the chance to participate.”
